Power 3x Both LED's lit (read on)

K heres the thing Please Just Read

Solder the header pin in no problems.
Solder the D0 hdd lan in no Problems.
Both leds light up when power up
powered up xbox Power 3x then frags.
also i have no video need some help

if any body reads this its about 10 cent thanksgiving day im on msn

i have rechecked solder points all look good no splash or bridges that i can find. And i have checked more than once twice six times but yeah

checked u soldered lpc rebuild points in right places and they are good.

im having the exact same problem on a 1.2 so i dont have an lpc rebuild...soldering has been rechecked multiple times....it boots fine if i hold it and it boots origanl bios or if i unplug the chip...otherwise i get fragging with no video

i had the same problem with a xbox earlier today.

i fixed it by making sure i had flashed the correct bios(the v1.6 bios for that xbox).
and, it always help to have the DVD-ROM & HD connected while testing. :shock:

Flashed New Benq With LT Open Tray Error

i have just extracted the key from my old liteon 74850C drive which had disc read error. i bought a brand new benq from ebay to replace it. i spoofed the keys to the benq drive and wrote it with benq lite touch firmware. when i connect it up it says open tray. i have tryed audio cds,original games still open tray. can someone please help me!!!!!

thats because when using LT you cant spoof you need to use like for like drive eg liteon for liteon benq for benq

benq LT does support spoofing its only liteon LT that doesnt, try a pot callibration on the lazer, just google it for a tut, really easy to do and shouldnt take very long

well mate its a brand new drive and it does not even read audio cds! reckon its a faulty drive?

check the laser with it the drive case off to see if the laser is lighting up

if not, it has been soldered into a short circuit to protect it during shipping

its just a little solder nub by the tray bars, not hard to remove

usually only get the solder bridge on new lasers not new drives if your still getting open tray error after flashing to 1.61 and audio cd or normal dvd wont read then the drive is faulty
these should read with or without the proper key spoofed

i was getting open tray it was the laser that was stuck back not moving forward to read a disc so i open my dvd drive slide the laser forward towards the disc now it reads perfect

well, benq LT allows spoofing

however, i would assume the safest thing to do would be to have a lite-on in there

i don't think anyone knows how 100% benq LT spoofing is

although benq lt supports spoofing the safest thing to do is swap like for like.
just to be sure!
