Power Button toggle Help

Okay I have my demon and coolrunner all installed and can boot and everything but I can only switch between nands if I plug in my usb to my computer and click switch nand. When I use the button on the demon the blue lights flash rapidly are not solid like when its properly switched.

So what is wrong with this do i need to install the sync button to do it or what?

sync button wire is not required.check the ribbon cable into the ext module for demon is plugged in properly

Yeah i did that too and I was thinking if it wasn't plugged in properly how did I flash everything?

yea thats what you would think,but after dozens of demon installs that cable can play some pretty mean tricks on ya,lol,does the xbox boot up ok?

Haha I realized that during install. And Yeah it boots fine both ways as long as I switch it through jrunner

So to enable the sync button I need to add two more wires correct? (im just thinking is one of the two wires im talking about have to be on there already)

only one wire as far as i know to enable sync toggle.its the longer brown wire in demon pack of wires.

Okay sweet that's probably my problem I thought you needed two sync button (which I didn't install) so the other one must be the culprit! Thanks once Im done with work Ill solder that one on and let ya know it that was it haha.

I dont have either the brown or the orange. So ill see it the orange fixes it!

the orange does need to be soldered in.

So i was just rushing on my lunch break and manged to solder the two wires in and still no luck sync button doesn't do anything either. I was rushing so I will recheck my work later but if it is good which it looked fine what could be the problem? Ribbon cable was good too.

Do you have the gnd on the demons daughter board?
And leds are lit?

The brown sync wire allows the nands to change via sync button by holding it for just under a second.

Are you checking the nand switching via jrunner? If so press sync then F1 to restart jrunner see if it changed flash

Its all flashed and set up (have retail and hack nands boots fine) I just have to use jrunner to switch nands becuase my demon button when pressed locks the counsel up into no boot (when switching from either retail or hacked) and the blue lights which are solid as they should be (when using jrunner) flash rapidly when using the button. Ground is attached to the button peace as it should be.

I know whats wrong I have firmware 1.04 installed and I need to connect x8 to a 3v3 non-standby but I cant find one please help.

Theres a switched 3.3v right opposite the normal 3.3v on coolrunner installs.
Sorry I cant remember off hand the name of the pad but you will get the idea looking at coolrunner install.

Side note, my demon in particular is odd. sometimes when I connect to pc, pc will detect it as unknown device.
when this happens, the front button wont toggle at all.
I need to disconnect power for 5-10 secs or else reconnecting too soon will result in same behavior.
not sure if you have something shady going on there as well.

Yeah I feel like a tried everything I just decided to mount the usb port by the HDD and use my computer to switch modes, its kinda cool that way so that none of my roommates can go on the dev side and mess things up haha
