I think you problem may lye with the socket you have plugged the Power/Eject cable into !
Although the lead is colour RED that dont mean it goes into the red socket on the Xecuter 3 !!!!!
I found this the hard way and it seems you mat have too. I then tried to rectify the problem by replacing the lead into the correct port on the X3 and found I had blown up my Power/Eject button . I know this because i rebuilt the console and it wont start from the Power or the eject buttons. although when connected to my other consoles P/E button it works fine.
Check where you connected the leads m8. Hope your P/E buttons r ok.
And Team Xecuter plz Colour code the wires to the sockets for people like us lol
Good Luck all

I would agree as the same thing happened to me. I plugged item 4 in the tutorial into the red connector on the card which is v1.6 ONLY. This caused the unit to turn on as soon as I plugged the xbox into the wall. Then, I started smelling smoke. Now my eject button does not work but my power button does work (I have since correctly wired up the xecuter chip card).

For "witse" how did you fix your power/eject problems? Did you replace both switches? Did they indicate "open"? I checked my eject button and it seems to work fine with an multimeter attached to it so I was thinking the problem is other than in the switch itself.

I hope not lol
i just ordered a new switch unit and am hoping that works when installed.
The lights still light up but neither switch works. seeing as thats where the problem lies in guessing thats the faulty component.
