Power of my xbox

When I connect the power cord in the back of xbox the console automatically turns on. The only way I can shut off the xbox is if I disconnect it from the back of the console or just pull the power cord out from the outlet.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

did you take out all the right pins in the pin header. you should have taken out a few of them. if you have a version 1.0-1.5 box take out pins 4 and 16. if you have a version 1.6 box take out pin 6 in addition to pins 4 and 16. that should fix yoru power problem

You only need to remove pin 6 for a 1.6 install. Otherwise, leave the pins alone.

Did you tape up your solder joints on the LPC area? I would look for a short somewhere.
