If I power on my 1.6 X3 modded box using the power button the chip light goes red and it does not boot. if I use the eject button it boots fine. (blue light etc.). Sorry if this is a daft question, I tried a quick search, but didn't find anything. Its not a big problem as I can easily just use the eject when I want to use it :) But I just thought I'd ask if this is normal or if not, if there is something I can do to fix.
Cheers

I was having the same problem at first as well. I figured out i was pushing the power button for too long. Mine is really sensitive, try tapping it really quick and see what happens. Mine goes ready if its anythign over a second.

i would look at the pwr\eject pcb and see if you have any bent pins on the connector and also on the x3 chip.

check the back of the pwr\eject pcb for solder bridges and solder splashes on the mobo and the pcb.

Thanks for that, interestingly when I 'tap' the power button rather than press it, it does the boot sequence but locks up just before the Rox my Box logo appears below the Xbox logo... weird.

nand writing questions

So i got a good dump of my nand,kv,and config data. I start to write original nand back to the board and at about block 300 i get an error saying error 0 programing block 300 and it goes all the way to 3ff. Should this be a concern(I assume it is), and what does error 0 mean.

Re: nand writing questions

I had a similar problem when setting up my falcon a couple times and every time it was due to one of the ground connections on my lpt cable. Just try to remove the connections from the board and resolder them making sure you have a solid connection especially in the points mentioned. Worked 100% for me. Good Luck!!
