Does anyone know what is the max current load that I can put on the X-box power supply. I have installed the XLCD. four internal LEDs and would like to hardwire a wireless gaming adapter. It draws 500mA and 12V. Does anyone know it that will overload the supply?

No that will not harm the power supply in any way.
The xbox power supply is capable of quite high current output.

I have seen xbox consoles with 10x more than what you are intending to put in yours and they still function perfectly.

Yea, im putting a Linksys router with both hardwire and wireless outputs, and the xbox still works perfectly. You could probly power the TV off your xbox as well. (I dont know that for sure, but it would be a nice project ;) , hint hint)

Nah, the TV requires MUCH higher voltage: near 24kV in some models... that would be a LOT of PSU's.... :)

Really? Wow... I am most impressed! I guess the power provided by the PSU could still be stepped up by the transformer in the TV... but I DO know most televisions operate in extremely high voltage; like 15-25kV.

Yeah the lopt transformer in crt televisions does operate at very high voltage , But voltage is not a problem - It's current ( Amps ) that your power supply needs to be able to supply.

You can hook a 9volt battery up to a simple circuit and get about 30k volts , But it is only at extremely low current.
