  • Console Type: Corona v1
  • Programmer Used: JRP v2.0
  • NAND Size: 16
  • Dashboard version: 2.0.17349.0
  • CB Version: 13181
  • Image of the CR4 XL: http://i.imgur.com/fum5YOL.jpg
  • Images of close-up soldering to motherboard http://i.imgur.com/lupyYCL.jpg http://i.imgur.com/o2SHZJz.jpg
  • Detailed Description of the Problem: Work: Lightning strike hit house, knocked out the power. When the power came back on 6 hours later the console wouldn't boot, the green debug light still blinked every 5 seconds, i checked my wiring to see if anything melted or shorted, messed about with the jumpers etc but no dice, it didn't make the usual sound it makes when glitching so i thought the CR4 had died so got a new one. Flashed to stock. Removed power from cr4, it booted fine. Flashed beck to a glitched nand with a new cr4 and the same thing. It gives the debug light and everything, but it doesn't boot, or make the sound that is usually makes when glitching.
  • Was the console working before you started: Yes
  • Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip every 4-5 seconds: Yes
  • How long is the light on for each time about 1 second.

Here is what i got from the rater

Code:

Most Fails(cumulative): 0x0F
Shutdown
Seeing as it boots without the CR4 connected, and i haven't changed the wires on the board i'm really confused. The console isn't dead because it boots stock but just doesn't glitch.

Any help?

that is really weird but i would try either a alternate RST-Post point or install a different chip and see if it boots.

Did you attempt to re tune the new CR4 or did you just adjust it the way you had your first CR4 in there

I tried tuning it but nothing changes, i don't think a third CR4 would be of much help, especially not to my wallet :p. Im just going to solder the alternative RST point now and hope that works.

EDIT: That didn't work

I sadly don't have any other glitch chips, I kept my slim with the cr4 and gave the other xbox i had, a jasper with a rev c, to my cousin.

Yes i can confirm this as well. see the thing with using the new RGH 1.2 files is there are no dips involved or jumpers.
now sometimes a console will like a CAP or resistor in series with RST and Post. you can also try different wire lengths for tuning.
but the point is using this method your majority of tuning is simply going through timing files.

it really kicks ass my friend. im not saying TX does not but 15432 did a great job.

if you try them with a X360ACE i can pretty much tell you that you wont be unhappy with the results.
