Ok folks, been away for the best part of half a year - moved from uk to Brisbane, and am now ready to jump back into flashing.

A few things - I wisely left my trusty desktop at home and only brought my laptop. So, I need to get a USB pro (which I've found locally). I have my ck3 pro, although don't have a power supply. Can I power it via the USB slot using an iPhone plug charger?

Also, I need to invest in a DVD burner (another smart move leaving mine behind). Can I get a connector anywhere to use a DVD burner with a laptop?

Cheers folks - it's good to be back!!

You will have to Buy a external Molex Adapter (most TX resellers have them) to Power your CK3
With the DVD burner you need to read and get up to date on the new burning methods http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=172 and you can power the DVD Drive With a Molex to Sata power adapter

I think this is the right cable

and use the X360USB to connect it to the laptop
Any more question ask and your going to have to do some reading to get back into the game;)

hey there, what i did was get an old psu out of a computer, can get very cheap now, and bridged the start wires, i use that to power my ck3, as for the burner, just get the liteon ihas, and use you x360 usb and the power device i have just mentioned.

if you want another easy power supply, grab your self either :
http://www.modtraders.co.uk/molex-power-supply.html £7.95 power supply for molex

or

http://www.modtraders.co.uk/product.php?productid=387&cat=19&page=1 which is a complete mobile molex power supply, that will run from wall power or batterys!

those are uk sites, but the products are all over the world, should be easy to get!

anyways have fun :)

Ok cheers guys. Read up a bit there. Am I right in saying I need to get a Liteon ihas drive and flash it? If so, is there any particular ihas Model I should be looking for? Can't find a definitive thread explaining what ihas drives are, and why we need them.

Lovely, cheers. Just out of interest, I assume the ihas drive will also burn non XGD3 games too?

Also, am I right in assuming this is an internal drive? Can it be connected and used with a laptop using the USB pro?
