My bios is flashed.

How do I install evo or ava by cd

It reads the cd fine.

Have x3 bios from usual place and it is installed.

Nowhere that i can find is an option to get the xbox to read the disk.]

Only back in the original flash menu before i flashed it will it read a disc, and thats only if its named bios.bin

wtf?

There are stickies and tutorials all over the place, what makes your problem any different than the thousands that posted the problem before you...

There should be some sort of time limit to read the stickeys for new users before they are allowd to make a post.

I disagree - you might have read xbox-scene extensively, bought a chip, installed it, and have everything running, but have a quick question about backing up the eeprom under the 3666 BIOS release ... searched the web, come across the forums here, and registered.

Searching hasn't provided you the answer, but you know what to ask for, so you go to create a thread to ask the question ... and are locked out.

Now most n00bs aren't like this. They just come in here, and ask about accessing the X3CL or whatever. (I am guilty of this - but the "white" button didn't work for me, the "green" button did ... searching didn't throw that up as an option).

My opinion is that there should be a forum for n00bs to ask these questions. Flaming of n00bs in the "kindergarden" shouldn't be tolerated by the mods, but that should be the ONLY place a n00b can START a thread until they reach a certain level. It shouldn't stop them from replying to other threads though.

n00b is not a post count, it is an attitude.

Instead of trying to insult me, point me in the direction as to where i might be able to read the answer to my question.

Now doesnt that seem a little more reasonable?

Nuff said ...

Actually it isn't. Do you have network access to the Xbox? Transfer via FTP is by far the easiest way to get files over ... in fact, the tuts over at Xbox scene for the most part assume that even if you have burnt your Evox (or Ava) files to a CD, that you will copy them using FTP from the CD/DVD to the Xbox HDD.

Honestly, scan the tuts at Xbox-scene. There might be something useful to you there. If there isn't I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you log into the Xbox scen forums, go into either the Evox or Ava areas and say "How can I install <dash> from CD with no network connection". They will probably flame you, tell you to read the tuts/stickies, find out you are running an X3 chip and refer you here, but its worth a shot.

If anyone needs a x3 script, send me a PM and i will give it to you. It will automatically download avalaunch and XBMC, format your hard drive, flash the 2914 bios to your xbox. I don't really want to make the bios available to everyone because of legal reasons, since xbins isn't supported I had to host the files myself...

I just wrote up the script a few minutes ago. I didn't test it so it might not work, but it should due to my m4d 1337 h4x0r 5k1llz.
