LITEON 0225 Pre dash unlocked?

JF tutorial says not to press lock button on fat liteons if you do you then have to do the MRA hack

Still needs a more educated member to verify if this is possible with the 9504/0272/spoofed 0225 PCB :frown:

As a suggestion onlinebug could start a new thread asking that specific question and maybe a MOD/ADMIN would see it and respond

Alternatively go to iRc and enter channel #c4e and ask one of the Ops in there

Are you sure your not confusing it with a factory 9504 drive they are unlocked out of the box with 13146 dash or before the 0225 drive is locked coming from the factory.

So assuming the 0225 PCB was flashed with 0272 CFW then there is no issue with the OSIG because it ISN'T spoofed that way

Only issue left is locking the PCB because it WILL need Kamikaze to unlock at a later date as stated above

The guy who sold it to me told me 'yep you can flash it over and over as there is no lock command sent to 0225s when there are updates'

Should have just got the chip replaced..

As it is it can be flashed over and over but M$ will be able to detect it isn't locked when it should be. Do you use XBL?

I should say I think it is only presumed M$ can detect it isn't locked at this point but JF team and TX team always recommend to lock your board after it is flashed

I do use XBL, I've put my old board back in because my gears came in the post this morning and I don't wanna pick up a ban whilst playing!

M$ can indeed detect SPI status real time.......the guy should have advised u of this and given u the option to lock it and be safe(or as safe as can be), or leave unlocked with a potential ban waiting

Well I would just lock it bugger switching the board everytime you want to play backups.

Or wait till LT+ 2.0 then flash it and lock it that way you will able to play XGD3 backups

M$ will only look for 0272 if that was the original drive.
The drive has now been flashed as 0225 so hopefully that was what the original drive was.

Then as long as it is lock you will be as safe as you can be.
But as you said if you can get a refund you will be better off with a board from rdubbs007 with a sputnik switch so you can update a whole lot easier

That was before it was flashed with 0225 firmware I bet if we got his JF log now it would say 0225 there

Not just your key but 0225 LT+ firmware as wel.
It might not be a 9504 board you get 0225 came out with MXIC as well so can have sputnik installed

Ah I was under the impression that because I have a winbond 0225 I needed a winbond 0225 board for my drive. Cheers for all the help buddy, much appreciated.
