I am preparing to R-JTAG+ an XBox 360 phat Zepher. and have been reading through the forums alot im going to use these two guids to help install the demon and CR4 which im pretty sure i can do.

http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?88106-Demon-Phat-Step-by-Step-Installation-Guide
http://team-xecuter.com/forums/show...phyr-Opus-Falcon-Jasper-Install-Guide-(R-JTAG

Iv currently got a cart on modchip central with these items in it.

https://www.modchipcentral.com/store/Xecuter-CR4-XL-RGH/JTAG-SLIM-and-PHAT-USA-Canada.html
w/the "PHAT QSB V3 jrp/nandx/cr" option https://www.modchipcentral.com/store/product.php?productid=17836
https://www.modchipcentral.com/store/product.php?productid=17867
and
https://www.modchipcentral.com/store/product.php?productid=17977

if someone could just look this over and make sure im not missing anything or trying to mix incompatible chips it would be greatly appreciated.

you forgot the jtag qsb unless you're gonna wire it up manually

also, what you gonna use to dump the nand or do you already have a JR-programmer/nand-x ?

i thought that you could use the demon through j-runner to dump the nand.

also in the product page for the CR4 there is a drop down selection for a QSB kit the one i selected is not right?
"PHAT QSB V3 jrp/nandx/cr"
should i be getting the other
"ALT JTAG QSB V1 (NAND #5)"

oh right.. forgot the demon part in your post ..lol :)

yeah.. jtag qsb will give you a clean install but wiring it up manually will also work.. a few $$ extra for the qsb is well worth it though

I wouldnt waste the money on a zephyr, just because of the failure rate of the system. I would sell it, and try and find a cheap jasper. i got mine at the pawn shop for 20$ because the case was busted up, and you can get a case on here, or ebay cheap. :) I actually spent more on my case(ghost case), then i did on the xbox. lol.

Honestly, if you are going to do a jasper, they perform better with RGH2+, and you dont need any qsb's for that. If it is a bb jasper, then you will need the sb to bb converter qsb, but that comes with all phat demons. :) If that is the case, dont forget to install firmware 1.4 before installing it. then when it is installed, and you have gotten the CPU key, dont forget to make a 16mb jasper image to write to the demon. This is important, as the demon only has a 16mb nand chip on it. :)

Thanls for that info i really couldn't find any updated charts or guides with mod recomendations so i appreciate your advice however the guide on installing CR4 on phat consoles RGH2+ here http://team-xecuter.com/forums/show...PHAT-Opus-Falcon-Jasper-Install-Guide-(RGH2-) has some qsbs in it is there a guide without that in it or should i just get them?

Heed this advice if your a noob to soldering and use QSBs. Use flux of corse but do not use an excessive amount. The flux can build up under the QSB and cause problems. I've seen this multiple times. Use just enough flux for the application. Any more than that is a waste.

My preference s to use the as little as possible.
