I had a service to get my lite-on drive flashed for me, and now that 2.0 is up, I decided to buy everything myself and try to do it. I connected my drive to my pc, and in JF it shows DVD Key: Not Found What would be the best course of action to successfully update it to 2.0? I have a probe and everything, if needed. I have not yet updated to the new dash (october 11th). thanks for any help anyone can provide.

its not found in your key database. thats normal until you have flashed the drive. just follow the jungleflasher tutorial step by step and you will be ok.
So when I go to Lite-On erase and it says "The Target f/w in does not appear to match the attatched drive! This is based on a comparison of the drive barcode. Please make sure you have done DVDKey32." Go ahead and hit continue?

follow the jungle flasher tutorial for the drive type you have.
im gonna assume you have a phat liteon and a probe 3.
hit phat key then follow the instructions on the prompts. that will get you your drive key.
then it should auto load the new fw and put all your drives info into it
then you hit liteon erase to get it into vendor mode and hit write

Okay, many thanks. Also, should I update my xbox with the drive in it to the new dashboard before or after I flash it to 2.0?
I'm sorry, you must really hate people like me.. Is there a thread with all of the files needed to flash back to stock? I have everything needed for 2.0. Also, the steps I need to do are: Probe (Get the key, etc?) flash to stock flash to 2.0 put drive back in xbox, update to oct 11th dash correct?
No mate. We all start somewhere. When u got the 2.0 it should have come with a folder with the stock firmware. Flash to stock with your key then update your console. then once updated u can write the 2.0 to your drive.
