GENERAL Previously Spoofed Xbox Wont Update

Hi guys I have a xbox that had a hitachi 78 spoofed as a liteon 74850. This obviously wouldnt update so i replaced it with a 74850 with the original key but I still get failed update.

Its on stock firmware pre 13461 and I have tried 13599 dash aswell as the previous dash but no joy.

Any ideas ?

how are you updating disc/usb/live?

I have tried usb & live both with no luck giving me a 3003 error i believe

same here with benq spoofed as liteon 7485 wont update fails on what looks like about 10% remaining.

I guess its trying to update the drive to the latest fw, but because the drives are spoofed it wont have any of it..

have either of you even bothered to do a simple search,

you cannot update with a spoofed drive, not supported anymore, only way to fix it failing is to replace with original drive:facepalm:

Both op and the other poster claims to be aware of the spoofing being an issue.

OP: make sure you have correct drive with the correct 74850 FW and not the 02510 FW in the console, to be sure intro the dvdrom in JF.

how do you read out the error code? never heard of it nor can i find anything on google about it..
