Pro Switch Questions

Well I ordered my X3 like 2 months ago and I'm not positive if everyone's chip was supposed to come with a switch or not but mine did not.

Now I see the pro switch is out, but am not 100% sure about what it does for me. Will it allow me to turn the chip off externally? Or do I still have to do the hold down the power button thing. And can tell me what the rest of the buttons do? Thanks

If you do not have the external switch wired up then the chip will always be on, whether or not you hold the power button. Everybody's chips should come with one.

no, the ext switch is only for the bios bank switching and the leds on the hdd and lan along with the x3 logo. you don't need the ext switch connected to enable or disable the chip.

contact the vendor were you got your chip and tell them to send you the ext switch if you want one.

Gears of War [black]

Finally did a second GW case, same as the first this
time painted it black like everyone said I shoulda
did on the first one way back.

I am waiting to get some masking tape to paint
the HDD enclosure to match as it has that window in it.

Looks great Cyan, I'm glad you've gotten over your painting fear finally! :) Now that you are painting as well, I would say you are the best case modder by far on here!

Re: Gears of War [black]

I dunno there are some pretty good cases out there but thank you, its always nice to know people enjoy them :).

The dremel tool is a bit actually made for digging tile grout
out. Here is a picture, I dont have the packaging anymore to
tell you the part number.

I have literally tried every random bit for dremel I can
find locally and this one is the best for small designs,
it does vibrate alot off the case so you gotta go slow
but its what Ive used on my last 6 cases.
