prob with GTA: San Andreas

I have a modded xbox with the X3, Iv installed San Andreas and for some reason when i try to boot it , it returns me to the home screen. Now I read the thread that mattydread wrote and I have disabled IGR and TSR but it doesn't seem to be the problem. I tried replying to that thread but it was closed. Any help would be appreciated.

i'm running sA with no problems at all. (i have igr enabled) using the avalaunch dash. I've heard a few people mentioning problems with the game not running properly on sum dash's, so that could be your problem.

I've also had a problem with not being able to run the game without doing a cold boot because I have HDTV enabled. What I did is (probably bad) looked for a PAL xbe online and replaced the one on my HDD with that one. It works fine now off the HDD in HD mode (with my video region set to normal).

Hmm....I used to have a different Modded XBOX at one time, and I had DOA Ultimate on it and it ran perfect. But then after getting a new box with all new parts, I reinstalled DOA and saw that when I tried to boot it, it took me back to the menu or sometimes froze. Sort of similar to your problem. I'm getting S.A. tomarrow and I'll see what happens. I don't know why it did it, all the settings were the same...do certain HD's reject certain games?

I am having a problem with SA, using xecuter2, and DVD2xbox

1- how do i turn off IGR on EVOX

2- what else could i do

i have tried ripping it numerous times.. but no dice

when i ripped my copy i used the latest version of dvd2xbox and it worked perfecly first time.

Change your Dash to Unleash X. I got S.A. and same thing happened to me and I'm using EvoX. Changing to Unleash X fixed it..plus UX seems to be a better dashboard.

I do not think Martin likes this topic if you get my drift, as most people having problems with this game are those who downloaded it. Not saying that anyone here downloaded it just pointing out the obvious. If you are running EVOX just disable TSR and leave IGR alone and it should work if you are still have issue try patching the default.xbe with craxion or qwix.

Meh, you may be right, I dunno. All i know is that I swtched from EvoX to Unleash X then my back up worked.

I got SA (copy from MS original) from a friend a week or so back....

played it yesterday....

today it won't boot.

It's the only game that won't boot...my uix gives me the dirty disk message, but it's reading from the Hard drive.

So, I tried it in everything I know: Ava, XBMC...

Nada...

I had recently tried out debug stuff, figured this might be the prob, then deleted it... right now my c drive is empty... I don't wanna lose this game...

any ideas?
