BENQ PROBE ?

I have a lite on, ik with my Slim that was 9504 - 0225. I got the dummy key via my usb to sata by plugging it in the back i reconiziged it says the key is verified too. Do i need a probe then for my lite on ben q? Or can i use the usb -sata way? I have via 6421 i just need a way to get the key. Lmk? Tuts please too!

You don't need a Probe for a BenQ drive, just SATA.

can i do this with a USB TO sata instead of the X360 thing, i have flashed regular benqs before but not lite ons

Use your VIA6421 PCI card, I don't think a generic USB to SATA adapter is compatible.

^ yes i understand that but i dont think you understand what i am saying so let me clarify.

I dont know exactly what the x360usb does so if you can explain please do?

I have a lite on benq, from what i was told i need to use a probe to get the key, i know with my xbox 360 slim i could verify the key by plugging in a usb to sata cable to the back of my xbox and run the sata from the drive to that, and then plug it into JF. could i do that and then flash it? if so how? if not how should i go about it

See this thread, it explains what an X360USB Pro is and what it will enable you to do.

Your topic title states you have a BenQ drive, if you have a Lite-On drive then you will need the Xecuter Probe 3 or a PMT to get the drive key (dummy.bin).

PMT = Pogo Mo Thoin, it is a DIY alternative to the Xecuter Probe 3.
