ive got a xell xbox with jtag cables attached (lpt).

ive done 4 dumps and crosscompared them

on the first two i got 6 errors
with the third i got 60 something
and the fourht had over 300 differences with the first one

help and ideas much appreciated:)

Something wrong with the wires that you've connected with the LPT connector. Maybe even a resistor not working or something getting loose....That's why you're getting all those non-matching blocks and errors.

Perhaps you should recheck the wiring...

Carefully remove the LPT cable..

...and dump it in the trash. Seriously.

Get a NAND-X or similar USB SPI reader and save yourself the hassle of royally screwing it up.

sorry martin but it just seems unpractical to get a nandx just for this one box .

i've done a friends xenon before and the same cable worked like a charm .

Allso i want the box done in a hurry in order to play lan (2 weeks shipping for nandx ...).

still having problems .

yesterday managed to get matched nand's

wrote xellous and freeboot with coolshrimps tool .

now all that happens is it stays on black screen(power switch)/xellous blue screen (eject button)

i can flash the nand from xellous via usb and the box boots fine when restored with orig nand

still help much appreciated

Black screen with freeBOOT while XeLLous boots? Probably some problem with the freeBOOT image. The original NAND image probably had bad blocks in it. Did you remap them?
