Hi guys, wondering if someone can help me flash my NAND using Xell.

Ive had a lot of problems with a Jasper JTAG just recently and out of god knows how many JTAGs ive done, this is the only one ive ever had any problems with.

I originally used my NAND-X to mod this machine but when i last tried to flash the NAND on this one i couldn't get it to detect the flash controller..... but thats for another thread.

The Jtag part works fine but thanks to boredom (and stupidity) and some faulty drives, ive been swapping the drives between machines so i wanted to changed the OSIG of the JTAG. To cut a long story short, ive clearly mucked up the KV and have a bad flash :rolleyes:

I can boot into Xell but ive not managed to flash the NAND using this method yet. Flashing via USB just doesn't seem to work at all but from what ive read thats not unusual with Xell?? Ive written my "updflash" to CDR but i'm running into the following problem..

Any help would be appreciated guys.

How about you first try to update XeLL to XeLLous using a Flash Drive? I am sure that after updating, everything will work fine regarding to writing the image with modified KV to the NAND.

I did try that actually, i renamed the "xell-2f.bin" to "updslot0.bin" and it wont detect. I tried renaming it to "updxell.bin" and i got an error that said it refused to flash... or something similar.

*EDIT*

Renaming the XeLLous file to "updxell.bin" gets me the following error..

fat open of xenon elf failed.
* found XeLL update. Please press power NOW if you don't want to update
* flashing @1mb
* unknown flash config 00023010, refuse to flash.

How about instead of using "xell-2f.bin", you try "xell-1f.bin" and see if it works?
