Hi guys,

I own an Hitachi 59 and flashing that is easy compared to these issues!

I have my brother's which is a Liteon 93450C flashed by someone else to LT+ 2.0 with dashboard 13599. I am trying to flash it to stock to update the dashboard to 14699 then flash to LT+ 3.0.

However, I have this problem.

I have the dummy.bin loaded from the guy who flashed it before (with LT+1.90 - he didn't give me a key again after LT+2.0).

It is showing the drive as a 93450C for the revision. Since it is dashboard 13599, shouldn't is show as a 0251?

I loaded the post 13141 stock f/w but this is for the 0251 drive. Although the text matches the guide after spoofing, when I go to MTK Flash32 screen, the drive info shows a f/w revision 0251 but the key said, "not found" rather than 'verified' as in the guide.

I did also try to load the pre-13141 for the 93450C but get the same result after spoofing and going to the MTK Flash32 screen - no verification.

Should I ignore this and erase the key and flash anyway or what please?

it should be a 02510c, you should maybe ask guy for key since its changed, or get the key yourself using a probe 3

Thanks for your reply but I thought the dummy.bin would still be useful. I have my nephew's to do too. He is on 1.90 and has a 7 or 8 series Liteon also on 13599 so the key I have for him was done at the same time as my bros.

I suppose I am confused because I don't understand how it is possible if the dash is 13599 and he managed to flash it after he had done that with the key I have? He would have used that to flash it to stock from 1.90 to 2.0

Load the dummy as source then load stock0251 as target, Spoof, Save as ofw0251 or like, Open new stock with key as source and target, Liteon erase, Outro, As long as the dummy is correct it won't be a problem, If the dash is 13599 then use 0251 no matter what the dummy says

Thanks guys, it all worked well and now on LT+ 3.0 and 14699 dashboard.

I was a bit worried when I first flashed with 3.0 as the drive wouldn't open; then I noticed that I had forgotten to reconnect the drive SATA cable and power (yeah I know ArmyMedic007 <--- nOOb)

edit: I just did my nephew's which is an 8 series. I got the same verification issue as above, ignored it and flashed as an 0251 and all went well.
