Problem how to replace my defective benq drive to samsung/hitachi drive help.

Hi i have a friend who has a defective benq drive on his falcon phat xbox unit that was flashed before. When he had his unit flashed he was able to get & keep the benq dummybin. Now he's asking me to change the drive but he only gave me the usb flashdrive that contained his benq dummybin. I have 2 drives available,i tried my samsung ms28 drive but wasnt successful coz jf read my samsung drive as a liteon. How do i make jf recognize it as samsung?

Then i tried my hitachi v59 but also didnt work coz its asking me to restore the benq dummybin to stock before i can flash it,how do i change the benq dummybin to stock? My friend already threw his defective benq to the dumpster because he thought that he wont need it anymore coz he has his dummybin saved.

recommended to replace with another BenQ...no spoofing (with different drive type) supported, wont be live safe at all

Well i dont think either of those drive you have will work, because they both dont support ap2.5 so ap2.5 games wont work with that drive in his console that had a benq drive. But anyways, you just get the dvd key from his dummy.bin. then spoof the drive as a benq drive in "manual spoofing" section on JF. then you put his dvd key, and flash.

So after i manually spoof it to benq what flash procedure should i follow? For example i use either the samsung or hitachi drive?

For example i use the samsung drive then spoof it to benq,do i flash it using the benq style or samsung style?

did you see his post about ap2.5 games...even an original (not just back up)wont work..
a console made with an ap2.5 drive will be looking for ap2.5 checks...the sammy doesn't have this check so will not be able to read ANY game with ap2.5 original or back up...unless he RGH's the console where drives are irrelevant

you can read how to manually spoof in the Jungleflasher tutorial on page 167( in the documentation folder that comes with jungleflasher)

doesnt matter read the above post. it wont work for a huge percentage of newer games so its pointless. hed be better spending the £20 and getting a benq not just because they work better but they are a better drive too and easier to get decent replacement lasers for
