Problem Loading Games with X2.6CE

This issue is driving me nuts. Someone please at the very least, point me in the right direction.

Ok so I have an X2.6 CE, boots fine, installed fine etc. etc. Problem is when I load my backups onto the HD using any program it will go to the loading screen, then back to the dashboard. I have another Xbox with the exact same configuration (literally copied all files from one to the other), and it works fine, the only difference is that xbox has an X3, so my only conclusion is the chip. Both boxes use bigger hard drives, F gets 137, G gets the rest. Games are loaded on F on both. If I make a backup cd, X3 box loads the game fine, X2.6 CE box reads as game, launch it, back to the dashboard. This isn't on all games but out of 30, i'd say 5 work. I'm running the 5035 bios on the X2.6 box, but I have tried 4 other bios' on this chip with the same issue. I've also tried other dashboards to no avail.

The only other thing that i'd like to mention as I've just recently read in the forums and wasn't aware of, is the X2.6 chip has a 300 gig HD and the X3 have a 180 gig HD. There was a post regarding something along the lines of data getting corrupted due to some 32k cluster thing. So is it possible that this is my issue? Any information at all regarding a work around would be fantastic as i've been dealing with this issue for about a month now and its driving me crazy!!!!

Instead of coying files (dash) from the X3 to X2.6, have you tried obtaining say Auto Installer Deluxe v3, format the HDD (on 2.6), repartition and try running the backup games again. It sounds to me like you have a problem with the OS (dash) instead of the chip.

Thats how I initially setup the Xbox/HDD, I suppose I can do it again to see if the problem persists. When using Auto Installer Deluxe is there an option to load the original files on the C drive or should I use the same one's on that?

Just a quick update for all reading this thread, I used AID 3.03, formated the drive and started over again, and sure enough, all is well. All problems with XBMC & other apps not loading are solved, and all games that wouldn't play after backup are fine. Thanks a lot.

On a side note, before using AID3, I was getting error 21 when trying to load the MS dash with the chip on, and only with the chip on. I read the forum regarding this and the problem was actually with my evox ini file. After installing Evox with AID3 everything worked, but putting my old evox ini file gave me error 21 again. I just modified the ini file the installer put on instead. Just an FYI for anyone having error 21 with a modchip on :D

Get rid of EvolutionX. There are much better dashboards out there.

Well maybe I'm still a littl old skool on that. I've used other dashes in the past, but they were barebones at the time. What would you recommend as the latest and greatest?
