This issue is driving me nuts. Someone please at the very least, point me in the right direction.
Ok so I have an X2.6 CE, boots fine, installed fine etc. etc. Problem is when I load my backups onto the HD using any program it will go to the loading screen, then back to the dashboard. I have another Xbox with the exact same configuration (literally copied all files from one to the other), and it works fine, the only difference is that xbox has an X3, so my only conclusion is the chip. Both boxes use bigger hard drives, F gets 137, G gets the rest. Games are loaded on F on both. If I make a backup cd, X3 box loads the game fine, X2.6 CE box reads as game, launch it, back to the dashboard. This isn't on all games but out of 30, i'd say 5 work. I'm running the 5035 bios on the X2.6 box, but I have tried 4 other bios' on this chip with the same issue. I've also tried other dashboards to no avail.
The only other thing that i'd like to mention as I've just recently read in the forums and wasn't aware of, is the X2.6 chip has a 300 gig HD and the X3 have a 180 gig HD. There was a post regarding something along the lines of data getting corrupted due to some 32k cluster thing. So is it possible that this is my issue? Any information at all regarding a work around would be fantastic as i've been dealing with this issue for about a month now and its driving me crazy!!!!
