I need some help please. So I’ve been up since 3am trying to get my switch to boot into SXOS but it just wont work.
Some background:
Started by formatting a new 128gb microsd card to fat32 format then booting into the sxos boot menu using the jig and dongle, was able to backup my nand then tried to enter sxOS. Was prompted to activate my license which i did using the website since i didnt want to bring my switch online with cfw.
Was able to activate successfuly however when i try to boot into SXOS, the screen goes blank for a long time before finally showing the switch logo then blacking out again. Pressing the power button gets me to what looks like the ofw.
Then an error pops up telling me i need to format my microsd which if accepted prompts a fw update. (Im currently on 6.1 and i dont want to update to 6.2 since it isnt yet supported).
Im thinking the cause for my switch not booting properly into sxos is that it wont recognize my sd card even though i already have it formatted to fat32. Iv done some reading online and some people say the switch doesnt natively support microsdxc cards (larger than 32gb) whether on fat32 or exfat. It usually prompts a small update to support it but that update unfortunately also forces the latest fw. Note: this is the first time im using an sd card since this is a new switch so i wasnt able to try using a card prior to trying cfw.
If this is true then this may be the reason it wont recognize my card when loading cfw?
So my question is, is there any way for me to add microsdxc support to my switch whithout having to update to 6.2? Or am i going about this problem the wrong way completely?
(Iv also tried loading atmosphere and reinx and they both also boot me the same way to horizon with the sd error)
Any help would be very much appreciated
