Problem Making x3bios dvd

Hi, i am a newbie to all this.

I have read the threads on team xecuter on making a flash bios dvd. I have made the dummy file and downloaded x3bios 3294 for my xecuter 3. I have a problem when i go to burn via nero.

Apparantly you have to rename the bios file to "Bios.Bin" when i tried this it wont let me use the "." i can only write biosbin. Will this work as on the threads it said that the file has to be renamed Bios.bin exactly.

Please help

rename the file using Windows explorer before you even get to the nero stage. it has to let you rename it as the . is what seperates the file name from the extention.

In windows the .BIN file type might be a registered file type so you might see the file listed in Windows exporer as just "x3_3294" without the .bin on the end.

If this is the case in explorer goto TOOLS - OPTION - VIEW and untick hide extentions for known file types. Otherwise you might end up making a file called "bios.bin.bin"

And don't even try renaming a .rar file to a .bin file...

Thanks, but i had worked out you have to extract the .rar file first. I just could not rename the file.
