Problem Using Programmer... Error: SYNC=0x0c

I keep getting this Message... Error: SYNC=0x0C
This is Usually caused by a bad parallel cable


However, 1) i'm not even using a Cable! and 2) I've tried this on 2 PC's and got the same error.... Anyone come across this before?

Try holding the chip onto the programmer. It's probably best to use a cable so it's easier to do this.

I had the same problem, I fixed it by switching the bank select switch to bank 2. Maybe the same will work for you.
