LITEON 74850 Problem when pressing Phat-Key

I'm trying to flash my 74850 drive..

connect it as usual to my compute, let the jungle-flasher identify the drive.. but when i press the phat-key button.. instead of showing me the usual request to probe the MPX01 it wait for like 2 seconds and then shows this message:

followed by this error in the log:

Drive is Lite-On..
Sending Vendor Intro to port 0xDF80
Serial flash found with Status 0x52
Stage 1 failed
Stage 1 failed
Extracted drive key failed Verification !

PhatKey extraction failed!


some background:
i've flashed 4 other drives on the exact setup in the past week so i don't think it's related to the probe/ck3/sata card.

the drive is as you know lite-on 74850 which as been previously modded.

any ideas?

so you have held the button down on the probe 3, removed from MPX01 count to 5 then let go of the button and click ok

u didn't understand..

i don't get the first message.. only the second that says the key already extracted.. without doing anything (probing)!!

But i have news... when i got the second message this time i turned the ck3 pro off waited 5 secs and turned it on.. then the key was extracted!! but how is it possible? without any probing? can i count on it?

just try it a couple of times if you want to be safe make sure it returns same key,

have you extracted key before cause if you refreshed ports and u have previously extracted it, it would show up already as key verified

just noticed in your pic to, your fw is still 74850,

you need to return to stock and update dash which will flash drive to 02510c, then update to lt 2.0:rolleyes2:

Yeah I know.. tried to extract to key so I can go back to stock..

Anyway somehow I've been successful.. just tried everything a few times more and got it!
