Problem with 1.6a Install

I installed the chip correctly, made it to the initial bios set up 3.01. I proceeded to install the updated EvoX bios, M8plus_16.bin. Made the DVD and loaded the bios with a green screen. My XBOX rebooted correctly.

Now I'm totally unable to boot into my XBOX bios. If I disable the Xecuter chip the default bios and XBOX loads/boots up correctly. I've double checked all of my settings and tried various switch settings to try and boot up a backup bios.

I've tried to hold the CD TRAY and ON/OFF switch together to load the failsafe bios. Nothing happens but more fragging.

Not sure what other steps I can take. Is it possible every bios on my chip has been erased? I only loaded one bios in.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Seems like many people are having similar issues. Definitely seems to be a problem with the 1.6a XBOX and the latest Xecuter.

The problem is that people aren't reading the stickies and tutorials. The X3CE comes with 3.01 and 3.03 pre-installed. This way it will work with ALL X-Box versions. However, if you have 1.6a and wipe the 3.01 from your chip, then you may not be able to boot from 3.03.

Why did you flash with EvoX bios and not the X3 bios?
Looks like you flashed over FlashBIOS with the EvoX bios.
What did it reboot correctly to?
