I already installed an xecuter3 chip in my v1.6 and had no problem. I just installed an xecuter3 chip in my brothers v1.6b he just bought yesterday and this is the problem i get. Both blue leds on the xecuter chip light up so i know it is getting 3.3v and 5v. It will run fine with the chip disabled. However when you turn it on with the chip enabled. the eject button flashes green then orange; turns off; green then orange; turns off; then stays on with green and red alternating. And i do not have anything show up on the tv screen. I have checked my solder points multiple times can anyone help me out?

No controllers need to be plugged in, but the video cable needs to be. That's the only thing that would do that. One more thing, do you have a newer chip that has Flashbios 3.03 on it? Becuase earlier versions wont work (don't know if they do what you are saying when they don't work though, haven't had the pleasure of experiencing a 1.6b yet

No video plugged in, got the orange flash dealy. Plugged it in, still no video. I knew I had a 1.6b going in, but the lights freaked me out and got me off the right trail. Wrong flashbios on the X3 that was shipped to me, it was 3.0.1....

Be sure you have video plugged in so the lights don't freak you into thinking you have frag. And then if you still have no video, start to suspect you have the wrong flahsbios version for the 1.6b. That is of course if you have both voltage lights light on the chip and the front panel switch is working as it should in order to show you your install is decent.

)i just recieved the chip on christmas eve. Shouldn't it have 3.0.3 on it? I had it hooked up to my tv and it wouldn't show any video, it did boot without the chip running.
