This place is where I am
My friend is actually installing it for me, I just want to know how to fix this problem he is having.

We got the Xecuter 2.6 ce lite chip from divineo, he soldered it into my xbox (version is 1.2 i think), started it up and it boots straight to the ms dash. All the lights come on on the mod and I have the flash protect off, bank one, everything on properly i think. All points soldered properly. I was thinking its probably not a properly flashed chip so I went and ordered the x2 programmer, havnt done anything with it yet though. Its just very odd that it wouldnt boot through the mod or anything. What can I do? or what bios files should I get when I hook up the programmer?

thanx.

Correct me if I'm wrong somebody, as I haven't actually installed my chip yet.

From what I undertand, if everything is lighting up like it is supposed to and the box is loading normally, then the most plausible problem would be your D0 point. When the mod chip is on, it sends a signal through the D0 wire to force the xbox to boot through the chip's BIOS instead of it's own.. if that connection is bad, the chip should still work fine, but the xbox will boot like it's not even there.

Great post

I was having the same problem. If your not getting the FlashBIOS screen double check the D0 connections.

If there was not a bios on the chip, the Xbox would frag. Since you seem pretty sure your D0 is right, check the actual D0 switch. Make sure it is making contact when the chip is enabled. What happens with the chip off?

Ground D0 manually and see what happens. It'll either frag or boot from chip. If it boots up normally then you aren't using the right D0.

If all of that is right then it's possible your chip already has a hacked bios or a stock ms bios on it. I would hope this isn't the case.

My vote is for bad D0/wrong point.
