SAMSUNG MS28 Problem with a samsung M28 (Another)

Ok here is the story, I have got an xbox with an old Hitachi 59DJ (was on IX1.5) and i flashed it back to stock then to LT2.0 all went well and fixed the checksum.

Popped it back into the xbox and it wont play XGD3 (legit or burned), but plays any XGD2 just fine.

So i decided to swap out the drive with a samsung, flashed it spoofed as a Hitachi and popped it in the xbox, put an XGD3 disc in (legit) and BAM E66

So after more reading, turns out i just have to flash the samsung (not spoof it)

so i erased it, and now the damn thing wont write. i have tried all sorts (even the probe). And it keeps failing at the point when it writes (either on bank 1 or 3)

Any ideas?

EDIT:

After trying around 6 different Hitachi's and samsungs

Turns out it was a lite-on that was needed
I was just confused to why it would play any XGD2 in ANY drive (with the right key) but no XGD3!

But all is good, apart from the one MS28 that just wont write

So any ideas what to do?

Would another Hitachi drive sort it? 79?

And, anything you could suggest i can do to sort this M28 out?

If you want I could send you a sammie pcb and flash it with your key (if you upload it to a file host) just pay postage. Pm me if you want it. You could also dump the nand & grab the cpu key and find out what drive should be in that xbox. Sounds like the hitachi 59 was not the original drive that was in that xbox.

Thanks for the offer, i will let you know.

Correct me if i am wrong but wouldn't the drive not work at all (only play dvd's and cd's) if it was the wrong type of drive?

Dash is 15574 so no cpu key.
should of grabbed the cpu key before updating (but i dint think i would have any problems as i have done countless drives)

Hitatchi 78/79 now have lt3.0 so can play xdg3 games, so in theory should work fine although someone may correct me
i have a few Hitachi drivers (79's), strange though i plugged one in before and i couldn't get the drive to show up in the drop down list on the right of JF (not sure why, will check it out more tomorrow)

If the console had a non ap drive like an old Hitachi (not 78/79) and if you put there now a drive which do ap checks, ap / xgd3 titles wont boot? or do I remember wrong?

no mate. i just think dosflash is by far more user friendly. i rarely flash drives but have found it to be far easiet.
