problem with backup Bios

I have installed the X3CE on a 1.6 box and have successfully installed X3_3108 on bank 2 and X3_3029 on bank 1. I can boot from both of them. When I try to boot to the backup bios, nothing comes up on the screen. The eject button is green(it is not flashing). I read in one of the threads that the switches need to be set to on on off off off position before I press the power and eject button. My configuration : 1.6 box, stock HDD, X3CE with standard switch. I was thinking of flashing the backup bios with flashbios v3.0.1. Any advice would be appreciated

Try a slight delay in the press of the power first then quickly with the eject button. Mine has a problem doing it at the same time.

The X logo on the switch is purple, but the screen the blank. I am assuming the backup bios is empty. It is a pin header install. I am assuming that the solders are fine since both banks boot.

Could you possibly have a 1.6B? then your backup bios won't work. Try flashing your backup with Flashbios 3.0.3 and see if it works for you.

rookio g'day mate. It is a 1.6(Xcalibur + Samsung memory). Booted with flashbios 3.0.1 when the modchip was first installed. Will try to flash flashbios 3.0.1 to the backup rom.

shortacid ur right. I did press the eject button after I got the purple sign on the switch. I went ahead and flashed it with flashbios 3.0.3. Everything is ok.
