Im a complete noob at flashing, and I apologise now if I have missed something obvious now. I am using Nero 7 Ultra ROM burn wizard whih is the closest I have to the tutorial http://teamxecuter.entryhost.com/flashbios/cd.htm I have the following settings:
No multisession,
Data mode Mode 1,
File system ISO 9660 only (should this be 9660:1999?)
Character set ISO 9660 (standard)
Allow 8+ directories,
Allow 225+ charcters in path
add 1.iso ext
Checked write and finalise disk options
Write at 4x disc at once
Not checked determine max speed, simulation, use multuiple recorders or virus check
The switches are set to on on off off off. When I boot flashbios v3.0.1, I select flash bios from disk, pop the disk in, and it says waiting for the drive....................................... then insert disc again, only it doesnt open automatically or manually.
Is there anything Im doing wrong or should I fork out for a different kind of CD-RW? I have mitsubishi black diamond as they were the first I picked up.
Using v1.0 xbox (its lasted longer than most before the HDD went. Whilst this is out of action im back on the NES. Older than me and going strong!!!), X3CE. Sorry about going on. I just didnt want to leave anything out.
