Problem with rf module after RJTAG

Jasper 16MB
CB 6754
Dash 16537

After the rjtag installation many rrod problems, so i've decided to desolder all qsb\ rjtag and test the console with the original nand, but now flashconfig 00x00000000 and JRP doesn't recognize the flash, if i try to boot nothing appens

In the first istallation i've done an error connecting the aud_clamp to the wrong pin (red leds immediatly on start), then connecting in the right place RROD every 5 cicles of boot.

This is my actual situation, and i cannot read\write nand or boot.

Here was the aud_clamp

Here was qsb under the mobo

Here the upper spot (there's no nandx qsb in the starter kit so only wiring)

So wath's wrong? What can i test?

No, but now i know :p

Actually my problem is that i cannot boot or read flash, a new rjtag installation later.

Could you post pics of your NAND reader wiring, sometimes it's simply a bad connection. Checkout Martin c's NAND x troubleshoot guide.

not a wiring problem because i use needles directly into the spots

------------

i've an update

after a hundred of attempts, i don't know why, now i can read\write, so now i'm on original nand, but freeze on xbox logo and the rf module doesn't flashing at all, the power button works but no lights flashing, so there's something wrong.... but where?

Is r2p12 reading as 10 k? Looks like u soldered to that before tryin aud_clamp

no 11,11K :eek2:

but with aud_clamp on the qsb was soldered to r2p12, so aud_clamp doesn't requires r2p12 soldered?

11k? Idk if that will affect it but maybe touch up the points on the resistor. Thats just for ur rf module. As far as freezing on xbox logo on original nand idk. You have a hard drive in there?

No i've tried with\without ODE but no hdd.
I've tested more times, in an untouched jasper r2p12 & r2p13 are both 6.7k
In this damned jasper r2p12 11.1k and r2p13 (untouched) 8k, in r2p12 there is a little bit soldering

Tested my multimeter with some resistors that i have and works well, so it's not the multimeter

That resistor (R2P12) should measure 10K Ohm.

It shouldn't stop you from reading/writing to the NAND if it has blown.

Post an image showing the JRP wiring please and also read this and post the readings you get.

Is it possible there were write errors when writing Back original NAND? Its booting but something is causing a freeze? Maybe read the NAND again and compare against original dump.

write again and reading are the same.

so now i'm on stock nand 16537
no problem in reading\writing nand
console boot but no flashing leds in rf module
freeze on xbox logo

resistor r2p12 at 8.6 kohm (i don't know why previous reading was 11.1kohm)

i don't know but in another original jasper is 8.2k, tomorrow i'll try to solder it, if it doesn't work i'll replace with a 10k, now it's time to sleep

Have you tried a new Rf module, just to rule it out :) Also might be worth hooking up your jr-programmer and running a post log to see if its hanging during the boot cycle, might be in need of a cpu reflow?

Sounds like the resistor is ok.
However, just because it is not at the wrong value doesn't mean it is making good connection on both ends of the resistor.

This type of thing is exactly why i don't recommend soldering to R2P12 at all, especially since AUD_CLAMP is the preferred method and doesn't require that point at all.

r2p12 guys r2p12, those damned resistor i've tried to solder and solder again but nothing, i don't have a 10k resistor expecially for integrated, i've only 3.3k 1\4w for peforated card, so i've tried to fix replacing with 3x3.3k in series.... and it works. Now flashing leds are ok and console boot as normal... is a temporary fix but now i know where the problem is, on monday i'll replace with a less artigianal solution

And now RJTAG round 2, for now RJTAG 1 ME 0, let's play again

If you have another console laying around, rrod for example, steal a 10k off that.

10k smd is very common. Many electronics could have one.

Break out the multi meter and find one

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

That's a ghetto fix right there :) Glad u worked it out. Like jsinger said, 10k smt resistors are everywhere just get them off motherboards, rf boards etc.
