meh.
Well, I seem to be having some trouble connecting to my xbox via FTP. I'm trying to connect through FlashFXP, and i keep getting the message "[R] Connection failed (Connection lost)". I'm connecting to the IP in the lower left on the X3 dashboard on port 21, and using the default username and password. Any ideas?

Edit: Oops, wrong forum, sorry guys :(

Edit Again: Nevermind, I fixed it. Sorry for wasting your time.

OK for anyone else who has this problem with the ftp here is what you do.
If you have the program flashfxp and you have already flashed your bios start up ur xbox and under setting in ur bios click that then network setup then you should see ur static ip and the ftp login and ftp password use those in the flashfxp in the quickconnect to log into your xbox in the server type your static ip and then the password and login which should be x3 for login and x3 for password. Hope this helps anyone as i was searching everywhere to figure this stupid sh*t out

no, what you were supposed to do was read (and search for the answer on the forum) before posting anything asking someone else for help.

While the majority of the members of this forum (most, not all) will help when you ask, it is still best to try to help yourself first (this avoids having people answer the same questions over and over again on different postings).

This is the source of a great deal of frustration from the older forum members. This posting abuse prevents newer issues (which have not yet been addressed elsewhere) from being noticed and researched in a timely manner.

Re: rrod

1. DONT USE THE TOWEL TRICK!

2. DONT USE THE TOWEL TRICK!

everything except reflow or reball will only be temporary!
