Hello, I have xbox 360 phat with cr4 xl chip. Made rjtag. I hhave two original hdd's 20gb an 60gb and when I tried to update avatars both hdd now freezing xbox when I plug them in. Formated them botth on pc still same thing. Xbox boots without hdd good and now im using usb 32gb everythong is smooth games working and everything. So my question is why this is happening?what I should do?tried 3.5" data hdd on xbox,connected 5v as phat drives using 5v and 2.5" 3v but same thing instantly xbox freezes.

What do you mean formatted them on PC.. WHY would you need to do that..Let the XBOX format the hard drive it is meant to be Internal Drive ..
So stick the hard drive back on the XBOX format it.. Test it Make sure Freezing is gone Then if OK then we can talk about the Avatars if Not ok
Then I would test the hard drive on H/D monitoring software for health
You may want to stick drives back to your PC and delete the Volume//// in hard drive management
Some falcon phat models have freezing because of smc_configure issues

Was the Xbox freezing after rjtag but before avatar update or after avatar update. If u boot xell with hdd attached does it boot to fusesets and ip or does it hang on sata initialisation?
After rjtag both hdd was ok, I played games from them both. But when I tried to do awatar update on 60gb hdd it failed and xbox couldnt boot. So I tried same update on other20gb hdd same thing hapened after update both hdd"s do not work. I tried same update with usb 32gb and it went all good now I can play games from usb. But when I plug in hdd xbox freezes instantly.so I connected to pc and formatted fat32 pluged in xbox same story instant freez.sorry for my English.

Probably your Avatar update method is wrong Avatars cant go on anything fat 32 Did you try and reformat the 60 gig original with your xbox in storage menu
Forget about the Avatars and does the drive play and not freeze after Re-formating
Just know that the XBOX needs the 3 partition format that is different than fat 32 for internal hard drive
