problem with turning off chip enable

I'm trying to use live but when i turn off my chip enable i get an error that says:

You Xbox requires service.
Please call Xbox Customer Support.

this may be a dumb question and im pretty much a n00b with chips but whats wrong here..if it helps i got my xbox right when they came out.

hey, if it is an error # 5 you probably just need to lock your HD. Good luck!

yep

yeah its says 05 at the top left corner so that must be it..ill get the person that put in my chip do that...i also have a problem though my cd drive stopped working the other day like it wont spin or try to read any disc i put in it and now only the led light on chip enable comes on the other ones don't is that happening because of the cd drive?

does the DVD drive work when the chip is disabled?

When the modchip is disabled 1 red light will be on

when the modchip is enable there are two settings, look towareds the back of the switch towards where the wires plug in there is a switch to turn the extra LEDs off

the dvd drive doesnt work at all...and i have the switch for the extra LED's turned on but they dont light up anymore
