I'm trying to reflash my liteon drive to update it with new firmware. I found this guide for setting up the VIA 6421 SATA Card. However, the device doesnt show up as VIA Raid Controller - 3249. Instead it shows as 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller. It also gives me the device status: This device cannot start. (Code 10). I've tried to update using the recommended driver but am greeted to this. How can I fix this?

It is the right one, have you tried removing the drivers and rebooting your computer?
Are your motherboard chipset drivers installed?

I tried uninstalling the drivers and rebooting the computer but it's unable to boot passed the windows logo with the card connected to the PC. I'm pretty sure the motherboard chipset drivers are installed. I don't have the latest bios for my motherboard though. I'm going to try and update my bios. Maybe that will help.
I've updated my motherboard and still no luck. The problem still seems to occur. I've tried manually installing the driver but that didn't work. I was wondering if reinstalling windows would help as I have all my stuff backed up.
