I have just installed the x3 in a v1.6 halo2 pack and the soldering was professionally done.

There are 2 blue lights on the x3 when powered up and all three modes can be displayed on the front panel, blue, red and orange.

When it is in red mode the xbox will boot up normally and work just fine.

However in the other two modes, the xbox powers up but has no signal on the screen. when I go to press the eject button it just flashes and hard drive makes a few noises.

what could the problem be, I have yet had an xexuter product work the first time in the past, but thanks to the guys for developing them.

you may have a 1.6B and an X3 with a Cromwell BIOS older then 3.0.3. and I'd be bitching dude, cause if it's a "professional" Job, u shouldn't be having these issues, the machine should have been set and working before u payed for it

I am in Australia with the same problem

I just had my X3 delivered today from xecuter.com.au and installed it. (how can i tell what version bios it has?)

I have a new xbox.. as of also today.. manufactured 9.23.04 last part number is 43905 so i assume 1.6

Everything is checked.,,, both blue power leds are on the X3 board.. i boot up to X3 and get ...nothing on the Xcld and onscreen TV.

Blue X3 as per normal post boot is on.. but no X3 bios.

I do a slow boot ( hold the on button down when its starts ) and it boots to the normal MS bios ( red X3 ). So i assume the switching is working is working properly.

What is my next step?

Hmmm i have noticed something... if you look at http://www.teamxecuter.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=23461

I do not have a resistor R7P4 which i believe links up "D0" there is definitely nothing there.

Any idea whether this is a link , or what value it is suppose to be ?

I have just installed one of these also into a new Crystal limited edition manafactured on the 9.8.04

I am experiencing the exact same problem, booting into the backup or main X3 bios causes no boot. Booting into standard ms bios works fine.

I have checked continuity between all points and they are fine. and i am more than compentent at installing xbox chips, installed over 200 so far.

IUs it possible the standard bios it has been shipped with is the cause of the fault? Installing into an older xbox and upgrading would be the easiest way to resolve this?

Sounds like it could be the wrong flashbios, are the symptoms the same as this guy?

Yeah installing in an older xbox and flashing the X3 with a newer bios is probably the easiest way out, unless you know someone else with a X3 installed, then you could put the X3 in their box and flash it.

Would you say we should return our chips to the place of purchase... in my case xecuter.com.au and ask then to simply flash it for us ?

I guess if that's your only option, probably worth a try contacting them to see if they're willing to do it for ya.

Hey guys, if you have a V1.6b motherboard then this may well be the cause of your fault. Please email [email protected] and we'll arrange to get your chip upgraded to Flashbios 3.0.3

We stocked up prior to Flashbios 3.0.3 being the factory flashed version, so far we have had only 1 report of the V1.6b in Australia causing problems with the chips we have sold, I am hoping that the V1.6b's take a little longer to filter their way into the Aussie market.

We'll get your problems sorted ASAP.

Re: What's actually new in LT 1.1?

Re: What's actually new in LT 1.1?

if im not mistaken
in benq it was to fix a security flaw that apparently atm microsoft r not looking for so its ok, but it fixed that anyway, so the people who used 1.0 lt were at risk for that time

for lite on i believe it was to fix the disk reading errors or the spinning speed or something , still necessary , not for security reasons but just for operation use.

Don't worry I'm sure in September plenty of LT drives will be hit by the hammer.

yeah, except this isn't a piracy forum so you might want to avoid making comments like this in the future.
