I have a xbox 1.0 and i loaded the 3029 bios on it. whenever you are suppose to restart the xbox... i tried to restart it but the blue X light came on and and went off along with my xbox... it will stay onfor like 3 seconds and then go off...my xbox stays on when i disable my chip... but it goes off with it on...it worked perfectly before the bios was on it?

sounds like you loaded in the wrong bios. Set your switches to on on off off off. Press power and eject buttons at the same time to get flashbios back. Make sure to use X3 3029.bin bios to flash and not X3 3029 v16plus.bin.

the bois i loaded wasnt 3029 v16plus it was just 3029

maybe i did something wrong... do i have to change the name of the dummy.file? i change the name of the 3029 to bios.bin do i need to put skins on the disk to then put it on my xbox? i think im lost.

well, if you flash via http then you don't need to change names. If you flash via cd/dvd, you do need to change X3 3029.bin to bios.bin as you stated but the dummy.bin does not have to be renamed. In fact it can be any name you want because it's there to facilitate the reading of the 1mb bios file. You don't need to put skins folder in your cd neither. All you need are 2 files: bios.bin and dummy.bin.

I would suggest either to download another 3029 file just in case the first was corrupt or even before you burn another cd, try flashing to banks 5678 (off on off off off). If it also frag, I would either download another bios or try different flash method. If they continue to frag despite you used the right bios, try 2914 and see if it makes any difference. For some reason, people with 1.0 xbox have more luck with 2914 than 3029.

ok i loaded the backup bank of on on off off off and tried to load the 2914 but it didnt load... i tried to ftp but it didnt work maybe im doing something wrong... flash bios still doesnt load regularly when banks are on on off off off.

I would check your soldering job before going on. That's what it sounds like now if it's a new install.

ok i checked my solder but everything seems to be fine.. all my leds are on...but the bios is still not loading...is there a way i can relfash my chip in a different bank?...or can someone tell me how they did the ftp way to flash there chip... i looked at the manual but i dont understand what ip to use or what password to use... can someone help?
