i dont think you can flash with a laptop because you have to hook the 360 drive up to the sata port. I could be wrong

Or, most modern 17" laptops these days will have 2 hard drives (my HP does). I've never done it personally but you could pull the hard drive that your OS isn't installed on and plug it in there. The only problem I see is you may run into chipset problems.

Re: can i use a laptop for flashing ?

depending on your exress port size you need a pcmia card vt46 whatever I ordered mine from Cross Mark its a chinese wholesale company cost me ten bucks, if your laptop needs the 3/4 adaapter it cost about 55 bucks. Arter that download the patch from jungleflasher .com so you dont have to use f8 to disable the the drivers. Long story short I have an HP pavilion about six months old and I use it to flash, However every laptop is different and most are a pain in the ass sort of.

I know right :)

I'd get one but..it'd be redundant as I can flash any drive just fine with my current chipset.. but... it sounds so handy dosn't it. :( It seems so portable.. just plug it into any laptop, bring that wherever you go..

of course, you'll need a molex to power the CK3 kit (well that's what I use all the time) and my laptop obviously dosn't have that, but I'm sure you could rig up something. lol
