Problems After Failed Flash

I have an 1.6b that I just installed an X3CE w/ a solderless adapter. Everything went well. Tried to flash X3 3294 bios via HTTP. Had switched set to on on off off when I flashed. It almost finished when it said 'programing failed'. I noticed that I had the flashing disabled on the chip. I enabled it, and I can get back to the flash bios 3.0.3 screen by booting off on off off, but when I try to reflash, It brings up 'unknown flash! halting'. How do I go about reflashing. Maybe to a different bank? Thank you in advance for your help.

I re-downloaded bios and reflashed. However, I still get the same message 'unknown flash! halting'. I don't what I'm doing wrong, but I just can't seem to flash this thing. I'm trying to flash with my switch set to on on off off.

That was what the problem was in the first place. I changed it to unprotect on the chip itself, but it didn't do any good. Still get the same error.

That was the first thing I did. Still get same message. Could it be a problem with the chip itself?? I read a couple of posts where there were a couple of points on the chip that were bridged. Could it be something like that?

I Have The Exact Same Problem As You And This Is No Where Neer The First One I Have Installed It Does Not Make Any Sense Why This Happened. First Of All If You Set The Chip On Flash Protect Then You Cannot Flash It!!!!! When You Turn Flash Proctect Off You Can Flash It. It Erases All And Then Starts Flashing But Get Error And Now I Am Stuck. I Did It Twice To Confirm. I Has To Be The Chip. I Will Put It In My Other Xbox And See What Happens. If It Is The Same Then The Chip Is Faulty. What Should I Do???????

I Fixed Mine I Think That It Was A Bad Connection On My Dip Switch Bank Setting Board. I Unpluged It And Replug Pressing Firmly And Reflashed And It Worked Perfectly!!!!!!!!!!
