Problems completing iDUMP

Hi all,

Have installed a Blaster360 which works fine. Didn't know at the time that I needed to check the firmware version of the Samsung ODD in my 360.

I can't work out how to open the 360 again with the Blaster attached, and can't find instructions anywhere describing how. It seems firmly locked down.

The MFR date on my 360 is 2006-04-02 and looking at a database I found, leads me to believe I should have firmware M25. M28 doesn't seem to appear on the database until after MFR of August 2006 in any Country.

When doing the iDump (following Textbooks instructions) I get the following:

Reading... 01%Control-Break pressed.

It asks if I want to terminate the batch file. Choose no, it freezes... choose Yes, it returns to prompt. If attempting a 2nd time (without deleting the Backup folder contents in the iPrep folder) it displays a message stating a backup has already been made.

Have also tried the M28 procedure using time frames between 4 seconds and 10 seconds, but just sits there after switching back on.

So:

1. Is there any way to definitely know what firmware is in the 360 without opening it.
2. Assuming not, does anyone know how to remove the Blaster so I can open the 360 and take a look.
3. Has anyone else got the 'control-break' error I'm receiving - does that error actually confirm for me that I have M28 in the 360? Or can the error happen for other reasons.
4. How do I know what chipset my SATA connections use (they're on the motherboard, not a separate card).
5. When doing the M28 procedure, if it just sits there, could that just be due to not having a VIA chipset?

Lots of questions (sorry) but have spent days on this, now asking everything I can think of at once.
