Problems detecting chips with x2bm

I have a xecuter 2.6ce and x2 lite programmer. I have everything set the way that it is supposed to be. I have gone through all the tutorials, but the chip will not be detected by x2 bios manager v2.3. I have the chip enabled, set to bank 2, and the flash protect is off. The error code displayed is code 0x01F7. Also if someone knows or has a list of error codes for the x2 bios manager please post it.

Is there some sort of driver that I need to install to my computer to set the printer port correctly???

If you have XP you may want to edit the properties of the LPT port in the device manager and enable the interput for the port

Also if you use a extension cable to go from the LPT port to the programmer remove the cable and go straight to the port
