problems installing x3

Hello and greatings from spain. The first thing, You must to scuse me cause my english is not very good.
all right, I bought an xecuter3 mod a few days ago, i had connected and soldered every cable like the manual in this page shows, when i turned on the xbox, with the switchs on-on-off-off, and the led in the switch panel red, the xbox tryed to star two times and the third it stoped with the leds turning green-red-green-red-green-red.
I hope i had explained properlly, and you had understand me.
i whait for your help.

Need to check all of your soldering again. Bad connection somewhere.

And, don't excuse your english skills. You are easier to understand than a lot of people on this forum, and they speak English as their native language.

ok, i had search in everey soldering and i had found only one diffrence between mine and the one is explained in teamxecuter´s manual. One step in the LPC remake is to solder one pin of the pinhead with a point in the mainboard just a few milimetres of this pin (exactly the BLUE: LAD3). In the manual it is done with a small cable, but i had done it with a bridge of tin ("puente de estaño" in spanish) as fine as i can.

Could it be the cause. maybe to many resistance for the electric conduction.

Yes, i can see a blue light inside the xbox in the chip. I don´t know if there is one or two leds, but the blue light is there. The HD led in the front switch panel works too. But the X led in the switch panel is allways red, not blue like it must to be.

sorry dgsni, i didn´t understand you very well. you make a mistake in LAD1 install, and it makes your xbox do strange things like i said: don´t start and intermitent leds green-red-green-red ¿?¿?¿?

Ok people, i did the LPC rebuild and now the x3 works perfect, with blue led in switch panel. All right men!! And so, now when I start the Xbox with x3 activated, i can see a menu where i can select just 5 options. they are:

- enable network flash
- load bios from disc
- load bios from HD (c: )
- unlock HD
- lock HD

i think, this is because the mod-chip is clear, empty, virgin!!!
probably the best choice for me is to load it by disc, and so, who can i do it? where are the files to put into the cd??

Ok, I had read some manuals in this page and now i know how to create a dvd to install the bios. But i don´t know where are the files bios.bin and dummy.bin to put into the dvd.
do you know where they are?? or where ui can find it.

And tell me if i have to change the switches in the switch panel when i install the new bios. I have it in on-on-off-off-off (right right left left left).

Well. I installed the 2913 with on on off off off, everything right. When installation finished, the console turned off automatically (this is good) but when i turned it on again with one of my backups inserted the xbox did the same strange things, three tryes to start and stop green-red-green-red. Now this bios banc is unable to access. I can´t reinstall any bios cause i can´t turn on the xbox with this bios banc open. I repited the operation in other bios banc and i did the same. An other bios banc f***ed. I did the same with a diferent bios, the 1959 and with diferent ways of burn cd/dvd bios. Now i only got one banc to acces the flashbios menu because the others are f***ed.

If i start with x3 desactivated (long press on/off buttom) the console works perfect. And the logo in the front panel is red. The HD led and LAN works too.


What i am doing wrong? I guess that everything is right in the installation because if is not, the leds wouldn´t work and the flashbios menu won´t never be showed. (((maybe there are some frases wrong writed, remember, i´m spanish)))

Still waiting for new answeres. thnxs a lot.

You can also switch banks while the Xbox is on. My banks were messed up and i was able to find one that would boot the flashbios. Once I got it to the flashbios screen I just swiched to bank 1 while the xbox remained on and reflashed. Make sure you get a good copy of the 2913 and 1953 bioses, from IRC efnet #xbins.

And then drewdog, if i can turn on the xbox only with bank 7(4ex.), y change the switch to the bank 1 while the falshbios menu is on screen, and when I install, it will be on the bank 1?? ok this is cool. I´ll try with different bioses.
And one more question, the dummy file, i maked it with a dummy file creator, is it right for the flashbios cd?

the x3 2913plus? i though that this is only for the 1.6b version called 1.6plus too.
Am i wrong?
