Hello all, started off with this BB jasper missing the original dvd drive so i RGH'ed it. After so i figured i would install fusion (save some time vs opening up my pc) and try to pair the dvd drive up cause it would only read movies. after pairing it will not read anything:facepalm:. says play dvd on dash, when pressed screen comes up saying to insert into a xbox 360 console .
So i broke down and fired up jungleflasher and confirmed that fusion did write the key to the drive. So i figured maybe i needed to spoof it, nada. Ook maybe running stock f/w is the prob, flashed LTPLUS-46-2.0 and spoofed and still nada. What am i doing wrong? i I Jtagged 2 xenons and neither had the original drive and i flashed lt and spoofed them on the 1st try without so much as a hickup. Plz guys im ready to just say fudge it and buy a replacement DG-16D2S. I know this has to be possible with this perfectly good working gdr-3120.

I had the same hair tearing out experience you were having when I replaced my Benq in my JTAG with a hitachi, they're bastards. Here's what I did:

Revert to Stock
Flash LT+3.0 to the hitachi
Then spoof it
It sounds weird but it worked.

Ook, as far as i can tell there is not LT 3.0 for the hitachi drives. I flashed back to stock then manually spoofed the drive. still doing the same thing.

hmmm, when looking in J-R at my kv info from stock dump i still can see my orig dvd drive serial. is this pertinent info to me pairing and spoofing my drive? Reason i ask is i manually spoofed the firmware 2 trys ago and i remember seeing a box for this. (NVM it was the console serial.....not the dvd drive serial
