So when i get the xapt3r intalled it doesnt sit right. I have to push down on the oposite side of the screw to get it to light up. It seems to be in place correctly. I have tried to see if i maybe overtightened to screw but that doenst seem to help. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks

mines doing the same thing - on a 1.0 xbox i cant get my xapt3r to sit flat - seems like a chip is getting in the way on the top right corner (corner to the right of the screw-end)

something must be wrong, i think i might try chiseling a slight bit out of the xapt3r's plastic to get it to go flat - im getting 3 blue leds and 1 red one, so something must not be contacting right

... i dont think Elite421 is a moron - i think this might be a design flaw

Same issue here, it seems like at least. I'm gonna try to toss a little extra info for at least how my 1.0v XBox is performing

Always blue leds light up (with and without mod chip attatched) I've pushed the Xapt3r flush and left it angled and got the same results.

A side note is that I've damaged my LCLK and pulled the solder pad out (failed pin header soldering) but the Xapt3r still lights up, (although it lit up before I repaired it ... somewhat repaired it (I get a voltage reading from the point but not from the Xapt3r pin that is connected to it)
This may be the cause of all of my problems but someone who knows the system better I hope can help me figure it out.

red light lights up then shuts off in less then a second if d0 is contacted and no mod chip is installed

d0 is contacted and mod chip is installed [Red][FRAG]

if another point and mod chip is connected [Red][FRAG]

no connection to d0 wire mod chip connected [Red]

obviously [FRAG] is that the system frags
but [Red] is that the red light on the Xapt3r lights up and stays lit

If there is any other test that would help figure this out please let me know

Connect dvd drive to pc without kit?

I do not have the extra money to buy the $30 connectivity kit to connect my xbox 360 dvd drive to my pc. Is there any way to connect it without the kit?
P.S. I am trying to spoof my Samsung drive as my old hitachi that broke. I am also using a Dell Inspiron 530...if that helps.

If anybody has a good way to do this, please email me at [email protected]

Re: Connect dvd drive to pc without kit?

Where do I start, First yes you can use your 360 to power the drive but its dicey and not really recommended but will work. Second, Spoofing a sammy as a Hitachi? Just to let you know Hitachis dont have any firm past 151 and YOU CANNOT FLASH A SPOOFED DRIVE WITH LT PHAT V1.1. If that doesnt apply for you yeah go for it but the new AP 25 checks will cripple your system even offliners arnt safe. USE JUNGLE FLASHER TUT. hope this helps.
