Problems with Bios updating

Hi!
I have the X3 on a 1.6, I "tried" to update from x3_3108 to 3294... And the box for my great sadness turns off and on several times and then give me a dark screen booting with the x3 off no prob. i tried to install 3108 again BUT...
the same problem occurs on, off, on, off And the damn black screen (of death) keeps apearing... I dont have any more hair to pull... HELP! The weirdst thing is when I made the flashing everything went fine... Thanks 4 the Help...

Yep. You have a 1.6 xbox, so have to use the v16plus bios.

Hi guys.

I did the same mistake as D-FecT, but I don't know how to reflash the mod to bring it to life. I try to press both power+eject but then the screen turns black and green and flickers a lot. I can't see no interface to reflash the BIOS.

I am really worried but I don't know what to do

What version xbox do you have.

The back-up bios is a copy of 3.0.1 which doesn't work with ver 1.6b xbox's.

If you have one of these and you messed up your only copy of 3.0.3 which is on bank

5 - 8 (off, on, off, off, off,) then you're kinda boned.

You can find a buddy with a xbox with an X3 on it... boot his to flash bios and swap the chip... then flash yours.

Yep... boot to your evox bios... then pray to God that there is a bios flash option on there... or you can boot to avalaunch where I'm pretty sure there is a bios flash option on that dash.

Anyone know for sure?

you can use 3.0.1 on a v1.6 but not a v1.6b, you need 3.0.3 for that.

I'm guessing too coz i never used evox, but surely you can do a hdd flash or something while you got evox running.... Good luck, and post back how you went!

Flashbios saved the day!

I tried to flash my x3 with evox's dashboard but I couldn't, as evox doesn't recognize the flash properly. I was about to kill myself when I saw Flashbios and gave it a try. Surprise! Now I've lost my old 256kb (not a problem, I can reflash it) evox bios but the mod is saved and running the latest x3 bios

Remember kids, you should always keep a second small bios there just in case


Now I have my Xbox up and running, but the problem that resorted me to flash it keeps going... oh, well
