I just installed a x3 in my 1.6b xbox. I can boot from original MSdashboard with the long press but when i quick press the power button, the blue LED on the front comes on and nothing shows on the screen. This is the same for the backup. Purple LED shows but i get nothing on the Screen. Ive installed multiple chips before and have never run into this before. Ive tripple checked all my soldering. they all look pretty good. ANy help would be appretiated. Thanks

If you read the forums, you'll see that it could be a BIOS incompatibility.

Try booting the chip with the switches on on off off off.

If that doesn't work, try off on off off off

Let your chip supplier know you have a 1.6b Xbox and he should reflash the chip for you.

Had this problem too. I had a Microsoft Component Video Adapter connected to my TV (for HDTV).

I had to use the original video adapter to get display.

Accidently Broke Tabs on Back

While trying to open the case, without realising, I had broken the tabs. How am I suppose to open it now?

Would it be possible to just snap it off then get a new case?

Re: Accidently Broke Tabs on Back

You can maybe still do it without breaking the case. Look through the top and bottom of the 360. (Where the hard drive goes in, and the opposite side. You can maybe put a Screwdriver throgh and get it to work.

Be careful while doing this as you can break the tabs, but I can confirm this works. I resort to this when the tabs are all mangled up.. I've opened probably 20 this way, and broken one once, but you can't even see it from the outside so it's all good.

Faster is better!
