Problems with frag and 2.6 ce bios

Hello there!

I have a problem with frag on a xbox.

First it fragged after I had soldered the thing and put it all back together. I opened it up again and found that one solderpoint was bad, so I fixed this. Now the frag was gone, and it loaded the flashbios menu.

Here I selected the flash from disc option, and inserted my dvd-r. It started flashing, first yellow, then green. and when the green bar came to the end, the xbox shut down. I started it again, and the frag was back. :(

So it seems to me that it is a bad bios upgrade? And I see all kinds of tips about reflashing, but how the h.... do you do that? I am not able to boot from cd, or at least I dont think I am, not sure how to do it, since it starts fragging instantly..

Does anyone have any tips? Its not my xbox :( I have modded 3 other xbox , 2 1.6 and one 1.0. with the 2.6 ce chip, and it all went fine. Did the same thing this time, and it didnt go at all :(

which bios did you flash to the chip and of what size?

did you try swtiching banks?

you've most likely flashed the wrong bios to your chip

I used the X2.4983.BIOS 1mb, the same that I used on the other box that I modded... 2.6 ce that one as well

I have tried using all kinds of combinations with the dip switches, but either it boots into original bios, getting an 16 error message, or just fragging

Same problem

installed 2.6 fine blue light on and boots into cromwell when mod chip is on. Flashed it and then got frag, Bank 2 still gets into cromwell but don't wanna try anything till i know what happened to bank 1.
