I've been out of the scene for about 10 months, so im feeling quite noobish lately.I bought an Xecuter 2.6 in like.......somewhere between nov 2004 to april 2005,and ive just started messing around with it again.I turned my xbox on(chip installed correctly....i think)and it just boots up the regular xbox dash.I have my flash protection off,its on bank 1,and chip enabled.I also have LED on.and my chip never lights up.....at all.Im pretty much lost.Anyone got any ideas?

Xbox v1.1
Xecuter 2.6(i dont think its a light CE or w/e cause the back of its whiteish tan not red)
philips drive
original HDD

10 months ago everything worked fine.had slayers evoX dash n all.

sounds more like a bad install m8, try it on bank 2, turn xbox off b4 switching then reboot, if you dont get the bios screen then its a bad install. unless you have already put a bios on your chip??? what kinda box you got ??? have you ever had the bios screen???

OK, sounds solderless to me. If this is the case would recommend to first remove the solderless adapter, give the LPC holes a quick run over with an eraser then re-seat the adapter and properly secure it. See if you get any further there.

No lights on the chip indicates a break in the 5v line somewhere. Either on the LPC to the adapter/chip, chip to switches (black wires and end plugs), switches themselves (a problem for some, including Islander above) or ground return. Ground and D0 seem good since having the chip enabled does force it to a FRAG. This is triggered by a complete circuit between the two. So I would think either the adapter isn't picking up the +5v, your switch plugs aren't fully seated or you've got a faulty switch.

the easy way is to get a programer, if you dont have any banks left, and you carnt boot your box up.
