Hi,

I modded my V1.0 xbox about 8 months ago and have had no problems since, until recently when trying to play some new games, i'm using the same media as i've always used (Bulkpaq) and burnt the disk's in exacly the same way using nero on the slowest speed but neither Burnout Revenge or Pro Evo 5 work all my other games still work fine. I've tried burning each game 3 times and still nothing my Xbox says it doesn't recognise the disk.

Any ideas? Do i need to update my Bios if so how do i do this?

Thanks for your help.

Have you searched to see if these games have any additional protection added to prevent backups? Do they work if you copy them to HDD and run from there?

I've had a look to see if they have any protection but haven't found any information regarding this, i've not tried putting them on the HDD as i only have the original HDD installed.

I assume no problems when you were reading the originals, i.e. errors when FTP'ing data or sending it out to an SMB share via DVD2Xbox, if used?

Don't know how large these games are but my stock HDD used to be fine for a couple games (not 2 LARGE games, mind you) plus my dashes/media player/etc. Cleanup and test if possible, as this would eliminate entirely the media/DVD as possible issues.

I know that for Burnout Revenge Worked great when I burned it to a Sony DVD
Also plays like a champ when I used XBox2DVD to copy it to hard disk

How are you burning the games? How are you copying them? You could try using Qwix to make an xISO, and then burn that.

Yes I used QWIX to make the ISO from the original Game Files

I got the original files from using DVD2XBOX and then using FTP to copy them to my PC

After QWIX made the ISO I used Nero to burn it to the DVD

Played like a top and on a thompson and philips DVD drive
